I love this because Im in my 30's, I've had one of my AR's since I was 18, put thousands of rounds through it, and was getting hate for a pic of it because it "looked like it had never been used" according to some internet know-it-alls. Then they would post a pic of their thrashed AR that looked like an Afghanistan bring back. Pretty sure the shit finish is meant to wear faster so the end user can feel more tacticool at the end of the day lol

If you find a factory fde knights it’s a contract overrun since they do not really market such a thing. They are coated AFTER final assembly and usually the finish is a lot thinner than the one we see here. As bad as this finish is, it it better than a lot I have sold.

I do cerakote and i apply it the right way and itll still do this. At the end of the day its a paint. Its a tough paint. Better than spray paint but still just paint. Pretty sure any coating will do that when scratched like that with a razor blade.
