But if you look closely after meeting historia s father ... eren was conflicted not to choose freedom ... he came to know this is my disease and he had a choice to not go forward ... but his mind changed ... when he saw his people his conflict ended ... he beat that brat out ... and choose to fight and choose to be cursed again for his people... watch s3 (eren meeting historia s father to the point of killing him again)
