I agree. But I would disagree that believing there’s no contradictions is inherently a fundamentalist position. I would say if you believe in absolute inerrancy then you are setting yourself up for failure.
I understand what you’re saying though if you already start out with the presupposition that there can’t be any contradictions. Can you run into something that seems problematic it’s gonna be hard for you to really critically look at the Bible. But of course that’s not true from everybody there are many people who do believe there are no contradictions who are perfectly capable of looking at the Bible critically.
But I think it’s a valid point nonetheless.

Weren’t there also other scriptures that were not added to the Bible? Some books being deliberately rejected from entering the canon when it was being organized by the religious authorities of earlier days. Not to mention the very high possibilités of misunderstandings occurring from the multiple translations the original texts have gone through throughout the centuries.
Basic misunderstandings still occur today among similar languages.
Again, to me, believing the Bible is 100% without error or some kind of mistranslation is highly unlikely.
To make it worse, Jesus had the habit of speaking in parables making yet even more difficult to understand lol

I see almost exclusively negativity in your comments so I just wanted to counteract that by saying thank you for making these videos. You're quite literally doing God's work by making the Bible more accessible and understandable. This scares many people but I appreciate it greatly
