The quality of ingredients is just on another level compared to anything else in Europe. Doesn’t matter if you compare the basic like butter, or meat or fish (have you tried salmon there?) or indulge in a bit of luxury like I was, when I was lucky enough to be able to compare wild rock oysters from Ireland to farmed ones from the Bretagne/Brittany (maybe not a 100% fair comparison, but still) … nothing beats Ireland in sustainable, yet organic groceries in Europe. People that say dishes are bland have forgotten how individual ingredients taste like (and I’m saying this as a a sucker for spices)

It isn't the food, it's the cooking that is not always on the highest level😂

when it comes to basic food like milk, bread, lamb, beef, bacon, cabbage etc it is high quality and much better than the equivalent food you get in england trust me. have you ever tried those foods in england?

Seafood is a massively underrated Irish cuisine!!! From fish to shells it's amazing and sustained is for thousands of years
Somehow not many people enjoy the treats from the sea anymore.
Also yes dairy products are unmatched and the beef and pork is amazing 🎉

Irish beef is the best (I don't eat it but my family do). Irish milk and butter best. Coddle, Stews, bacon and cabbage, Curly kale, and of course spice bag😂
