For those confused: up until 2022 when YouTube won the rights to Sunday Ticket, there were two Red Zones. One was produced by DirecTV and only available to DirecTV subscribers. That’s the one that doesn’t exist anymore (it went away after DirecTV lost the rights to Sunday Ticket).
The other RedZone is produced by the NFL and is hosted by Scott Hanson. You can usually get this channel as part of your cable TV subscription.
They were essentially the same thing (and ran at the same time) but the Red Zone channel hosted by Andrew Siciliano was only available to DirecTV subscribers.

I legit used to watch NFL network every single day all day most of my childhood. Rich Eisen is one of my fav people in media, i still follow a lot of their writers to this day. Shaped my whole life. When Redzone eventually came out i was very happy Scott got the job. he was made for it. He always had a tad out of place energy for what he was doing at the time. He wasn't bad at all but it all made sense the absolute first second you seen him on Redzone. it is HIS show.

Im confused? Was there a RedZone before Scott started doing it? Because i was there from day 1. The 2009 season was the first with Scott as host. If there was another RedZone before that, I had no idea it existed.

The fact that Andrew Siciliano hasn’t been given this guy’s job on a silver platter is astonishing. He’s nice, but there is a tremendous amount of dead air. My brain could not keep up with Andrew Siciliano‘s mouth when he would describe all the situations simultaneously.
