This has affected us all, and in every area of life. Porn, dating apps, social media. The constant exposure to the most attractive people, most beautiful art, most intelligent conversations, tastiest foods etc. We have dulled our senses and are now numb to anything but the highest quality. I still remember when the side of a woman’s hip would turn me on, now Erectile dysfunction drugs are marketed to 25 year olds.

It probably also depends on the average person you're around daily. I live in the US and there are a bunch of overweight, just gross looking women who have completely let themselves go. Does that lower my standards? Maybe I should view attractive women online to raise them a bit.
