This is a perspective I can get behind. I am absolutely the same way! There's so many things I want to do and try and trying to get a career that would allow me to have time for those things is difficult. The advice I get is to start a business, and while I will do that, it'll likely just be Etsy or something. The thing about hobbies is that we're meant to enjoy them. If we turn every hobby into a job, then when do we get to have fun?
I'd LOVE to be able to be a stay at home mom with a supportive partner! I probably wouldn't homeschool, unless my kids preferred it, but I'd still find time to teach them some of my hobbies simply to spend time with each other! My dream house is a ranch style with a BIG yard so my kids and animals have space to just run.
But, the main thing is, I don't want that kind of life because "It's a woman's place." I want it because the thought of living out those dreams genuinely makes me happy. So, thank you for offering this perspective in a non-shaming and non-toxic way. ❤❤

Oh this is SO timely, Shayla!! I JUST had this convo w my oldest girls! I went to college for teaching. Taught preschool then kindergarten for 4 years and then went back to college for my nursing degree. THEN left nursing after 10 years and began an apprenticeship as a baker! 18 months of getting up at 1am to bake breakfast goodies and hand decorate pastries for a local bakery only to realize I still wanted to dive into botany and medicinal herbs and beekeeping instead! 🤦♀️ Im a SAHM now, homeschooling my kids and learning right along w them. Finding so much joy exploring our world and running down rabbit holes. This year we're spending a whole year studying botany and beekeeping! And we're renovating our home to have a seperate space for our plants / herbs and a nice new kitchen for all the cooking and baking I've begun implementing. The Lord has honored my leaving the workforce to raise my children and has given me so many of my heart's desires that sometimes it truly feels like heaven has begun already.
Being a homeschooling SAHM is more fulfilling than any other career I've ever had.

This is so relatable! I've struggled since college with the concept of who I want to be and what I want to do with my life. I thought that being a writer would satisfy that because I'd get to learn about a ton of different concepts and things, but it wasn't enough to just read about it all. I've wanted to be a homemaker since before we had our daughter back in January, but I never thought that being a homemaker satisfies that internal desire to be a little bit of everything. Thankful for finding your channel

I don’t know if you know this, but I really think YouTube is apart of your ministry. Your videos have been incredibly enlightening to me in ways I cannot articulate.
This short video resonated with me in so many ways it’s unreal. Thank you, thank you. Thank you!
May God bless you forever and ever!

I love this! Your channel gives me so much inspiration and encouragement in my walk with Christ too! You are doing a great job mama! You're where I wanna be in the future. Right now I have a 3 yr old, 2 yr old and 9 month old. Plan on having as many as God will allow. We are struggling financially but God always provides. You help me keep my chin up.

If you came to leave a comment, great! If you came to leave unresolved hate droppings though, you should know that hate stops here. I or my team wipe up smelly piddle comments and forget about them promptly. 😍
