Grandpa had a wonderful old Swissy we literally called Swissy, until she got older, then called her Grandma. Took care of calves for cows that just ignored their newborn, or assisted new moms cleaning. You could bring her a cob, she'd take it, stretch her neck, and rotate it and strip the kernels off then spit the bare cob out. Then chew her cud contently after.
