What happened to conscious music?…I believe shadowbanning happened. One question I have is what happened to the rappers who Truly lived the street life - and through their music spoke about how that ain’t the right way to go?. Nowadays it’s Total glorification of things that diminish us. I believe the enemy is Very aware of how the quoting/mimicking of certain music invites the spirit of corruption/destruction into our lives. Life & death is in the power of the tongue…(Proverbs 18:21, Proverbs 12:18-19, James 3:5-6, Proverbs 15:4,…). So simply, when we recite and/or sing along with words such as “im on demon time” , “I run with demons” etc. we in turn grant demonic forces access into our lives based on what we agreed on. I may have stretched the topic a little, but it’s deep.
Nevertheless, my suggestion is - if one insists on listening to music like that…and you feel an urge to sing/rap along…if/when you do - instead of saying exactly what the artist says - consider switching the words up as such: “HE on demon time”. “HE run with demons” etc.
…that way - you’re no longer subject to speaking words such as those into your life. Peace.
