Third, eat slowly. Take your time and chew your food really well. It takes 15-20 minutes for your gut to inform your brain how full you are.
Fourth, listen to your body. You'll know you've reached your 80% point when you feel full but not so full that it makes you lethargic. This is when you should put that spoon down and stop eating!
And finally, walk around and do some light physical activity to see how the food is sitting with you.
Record your findings in a diary like this one made by Precision Nutrition. (Show diary for 3 seconds) Describe what you ate and how you feel after every meal.
Remember - consistency is key! Do this every day for at least two weeks and you'll see your efforts pay off! (picture)
If you’re getting the results you want, keep going.
If not, scale back portions a little more, or a little less, depending on your goals and comfort level.
