In my opinion I think it was the best movie and my dad agrees because it had so many cool new monsters like Shimo Tamabat and that snake in lake thingy but the fight was shorter then I expected and it took a while to show Shimo and scar king, like you said the human characters were not that good so overall I’d give it a 9/10. I liked it but kotm in my opinion was so much better. Although the American films have never had the best story that's not really why you watch them tbh.

The monsterverse doesnt need to focus on story. Its following the sillyness of the showa era and trying to stuff an epic story like minus one in this series is asking way too much. They are vastly different films with vastly different goals. If your gonna rate godzilla x kong subjectively, just stick with referencing films that are way closer related in theme and style.

It has 30min of monsters fighting out of a 1h40m film its trash the trailer is made up of the last 20min and the new monsters are hyped up as big bads and are easily defeated within minutes of meeting them

Haha you're being kind, it was pretty brutal. Little kong was savage, there was barely action scenes, godzilla wasn't in the movie.
