It baffles me how you are encouraged to buy something with credit (I owe you) and then later pay it back, just to create a good credit score. I was taught the opposite in Switzrrland. Save up your money for something you can then afford. Making a debt was always the least advised choice.

The number actually represents how much debt the individual can accrue before defaulting. It's particularly useful at the top end. Without certain minumum revenue levels, you'll never reach perfect score despite a stellar repayment history.
The credit history report has the repayment detsils, any issues and resolutions and the length of reporting a certain number of years back. It's not comprehensive time and more recent activity is weighted more.

They will always come up with methods of exclusion. The only solution is not to rely on āthemā at all.

People are ignorant if they obsess over credit scores, I'm not promoting a low credit score but don't spend your entire life indebted to a multibillion-dollar financial institution.
