it doesnt matter if the 7500 goes away or not, congress already gutted it when they passed it.
the mineral content for batteries to be american or friendly goes up jan 1st no matter who the president was. last year 50 vehicles qualified for the IRA rebate, this year only ten, jn 1st the number is probably going to be zero. maybe the lease loophole may have remained, but leasing has always been a terrible way to get a vehicle.

Legacy automakers are deemed "Too Big to Fail", that's why every Chevy Volt costed Taxpayers $150,000, they don't need to make the better cheaper car.

I think it would slow adoption for a while, but the future is inevitable, EVs are just better for almost all use cases, and the niche (or just for stubborn people) cases will be a small enough segment so as to be meaningless. Cells are getting cheaper and more available all the time.
