Now you keep saying that my hostess didn't is wanting to deny " us " a table which would mean that you and your son would be sitting at and eating at this table not just your 9-year-old son. We cannot just sit your 9-year-old son by themselves. If you get a table and then leave your son at that table to go somewhere outside of this restaurant for any length of time we will call CPS for an abandoned child.

I remember going to restaurants occasionally by myself at that age. Other than once being asked to prove I had money to pay, there was never a problem.

The saddest part of this is that this mom is trying so hard to be a responsible mom. She's in a system where jobs don't pay her a living wage, and there isn't safe, affordable, reliable childcare available. How do I know? Because I also have a 9 year old.
The problem here isn't the mom. It's this society's lack of safe childcare. Look it up, people.
