I love the end so much— “Jesus gave all of Himself to us so we could could give all of ourselves to Him”— because it reminds me of how marriage is the language used to describe Christ and the Church. God doesn’t demand all of us just because “I made you, so there.” God gave all of Himself as His courtship of Mankind, and promises an eternity of the best things as a wedding gift; how we respond to that courtship shows if we are loving and tender-hearted, or if we are pitiless and cold-hearted.

The first time I thought of God‘s humility revealed in Christ, I was in awe! Jesus, the King of kings came as a humble baby to a humble manger. Then grew to die the most humiliating death to serve and save the world. He who washed the disciples’ feet said, “A servant is not greater than his Master, is he?” In other words, “You are not greater than Me, are you?“ He called us to humility; to serve one another.
This world often has it backwards. “The greatest should be served.“ No. The greatest should serve—and He did! So no matter what level we are, we also ought to serve.

I’ve only been a Christian for 4 years And every day I grow to Love Him more as my Savior and King and wish only to serve and obey Him. It funny when I began this journey I never thought I would wish to be obedient to Him but now it is my ultimate hearts desire. Jesus is indeed King. Thanks Mike for being the person who helped me to see. ✝️💗
