Fun Fact: Those direction-changing gears are used in irrigation sprinklers! Thatās how they are able to slowly rotate until spontaneously reversing back to their original position and repeating. Itās such a neat little mechanism.

Thank you Micheal. I've watched your content probably more than a decade by now. This whole video, as weird as it may sound, gave me hope. That we are actually going into the future. The uses of these, although may be impractical as popular marketing products, could be very interesting. I've been wanting to design different electronics we have gotten used to into "steampunk" or pretty much only mechanical energy, no electric maybe minus a rotating motor to turn the whole thing, with the idea it's linked to an external mechanical energy generator, like an old time windmill grinding grains, but maybe to run your refrigerator instead. And I'm aware of the issue of the decay of the material as they are used. Working on that.
