Russian command and control is slow in every respect. Data has to go up to Moscow where โexpertsโ decide what to do. It then comes back. Finally someone has to actually take action. By the time they do itโs all too late. This is why they have not stopped their incredibly costly but still glacial pace adventures in Donbas.

Russians wanted to retreat heroically but Ukrainians are wisely catching up with, and encircling, them.

In Russian military everything has to travel from top to bottom and back again before any coordinated action can happen vs western trained Ukrainian where even unit commanders can make decisions based on firsthand knowledge and only report it to higher command as time permits so the higher command can mashal additional forces as needed. Makes for a much quicker reaction time.

Thanks for you service Ukrainian forces are Don't take this wrong way but I would have served in the Marine corps I got 88 on the ASVAB but they were getting out of Iraq at the time and I couldn't get a waiver to get in other than that all the physical aspects and mental I can handle but I appreciate your service with my heart and my blood I enjoy America's freedom because of you
