No matter where you live, suburbs or rural, they need to learn.

➡️WAYS to TEACH and MODEL
.
✅Let them grow something with you and by themselves. Anything. Flowers to cut fresh for the suppertable, cherry tomatoes to enjoy while playing in the yard, their favorite veggie...
✅If space allows, go buy two chickens (or more!) for daily eggs.
✅Go to a fruit farm and pick...or at least take a tour of the strawberry fields or apple orchards.
✅Visit a dairy or beef cattle farmer. Ask questions. Maybe a dairy-cow owning-friend will allow your child to milk a cow?
✅Bake a loaf of bread....even if it’s in a bread machine. (one of my secrets and a useful “servant” in my kitchen)
✅Make a jug of sweet tea or haymaker’s punch instead of buying from the store.
✅Add made-from-scratch meals to your weekly supper plans.
