This entire assumption - that we are trying to becomg God and disrespecting His creation - is predicated on the majority of people believing in God and the story of creation, which is where this all falls apart.
It's also predicated on you believing that God would intentionally create people who would suffer and derive no joy from his creation. Even people who believe in God do not consider Him to be so cruel as to say "you are capable of immense love for yourself and others, but that love is bad"
