I'd say for analog feeling and mix flow under 1k, just go with the softube console and get some aditional uad and ssl plugins for that. It sounds insanely good and you will learn analog workflow (except you dont have to deal with analog problems like sognal balancing, detecting ground loops and all the fun stuff)

I paid $400 dollars for a pair of Klark Teknik EQP-KT Classic Tube Equalizers. I use them for the mid-side inserts on my Fusion. The design is a simple class A tube circuit copied from Pultec. BTW, there is a pair of mint Silver Pultec EQ-H2's on Reverb for 17K. I figure matched gold pin JJ tubes from Bob at Eurotubes would still lose in a shoot out but hey, I'm doing my part as a starving artist. Thank you for teaching me about mid-side on the two bus.

@mixbustv Hi David, Iām new to music production & make everything, solely on a pair of M40x, but I would like another reference to listen onā¦. Would you recommend buying a high end bluetooth speaker with a aux input? I currently donāt have the space or money for a proper studio setup.
If you do recommend buying it, should I buy a speaker that has 2 tweeters & 1 woofer or a speaker that has 2 tweeters & 2 woofers?
Also, itās not really in my budget, but would buying a secondary pair of high end headphones like Audeze be an equal/better option?
Thanks. š

Controversial lindel audio 500 series sounds great and is cheap as chips so are the drawmers a lot more versatile then some expensive shit one trick pony.i have right now 5 k converters and i will tell u that u can get 100 bucks second hand converters from pawn shops and you will hahe pretty much the same sound

Drawmer did a lot good for me. Relative cheap, but only looking at the drawmer stuff it's about 5000. A good option I found for home producing to more serious is good maintained second hand gear. Bought beautiful units. It's quite an investment. But I dumped the idea of having many hardware synths, and switch to more analog outboard gear. I still have some cheap stuff, it sometimes fits. But I hate to say this, if you go to cheap, it's nonsense. Yes, it's sounds snobbish, I know. But just to explain, I still don't own the hardware stuff of professional studio's. But when you work hybrid, good quality gear, still make a difference. And I do not say you can't make beautiful mixes fully in the box, but you can stand on your forehead, but having quality analog gear you start having good sound. My 50 CT. To many content makers tap in to getting views... Saying you can mix on headphones, saying cheap equipment is just as good, but don't hold yourself back...and I geatly appreciate your videos, started investing in outboard gear, having limitations in homestudio, really made me make me decisions about buying gear / hybrid....keep seeing limitations...and keeping it real and balanced....not holding myself back buying cheap and useless, but also looking at other limitations and not buying stuff that doesn't work in my case...

Cheap analog and good analog will pretty much never be the same group or level of products. Stay in the box with a DAW.
