And you eventually rewatch it and realise it's all on her head, and it's all in the asylum. The wheelers are the guy who pushes the gurneys, the girl who changes heads is the nurses, Tic Toc was the Electrifying machine, Jack was the pumpkin that the other inmate gave her.
So in reality, Oz was all in her head, and she escaped the asylum then passed out or something like that and, judging by Aunt Em's reaction, she was missing for a while

The fact that nearly everything you said actually happened in the second and third Oz books, but they combined them to make one movie and these were real things that I just read a week ago is so trippy. The Oz books only get weirder from here.

90s kid. My grandmother recorded this on VHS for me when I was like 5. For some reason, this movie freaked me out more than Nightmare on Elm Street. Granted, I could watch Critters and Pet Sematary and be fine; but the troll from Ernest Scared Stupid literally gave me night terrors for a couple years 🙃
