Personaly for a cursed pirate I’d go first level hex blade warlock, then the rest into swashbuckler rogue, to still get that booming blade synergy But also be more charismatic than the bard while maintainting damage scaling, your idea with find familiar sounds pretty awesome too rly like the flavour and RP you could incule with that, personaly like the medium armor and shield on my rogues for a verry comfy 18 AC for almost no cost in comparison too the 15 that most rogues have early on and especially for a swashbuckler to be able to fully go for that charisma main stat rogue feels like it could be alot of fun, hex blade’s curse is also nice for an improved crit range with sneak attack and booming blade, at level 5 that’d be a 10 % chance of doing 4d8 + 4d6 + 4 + 3 damage wich on average is 39 damage I like doubling the chance of that happening, with a buddy wizzard or warlock w a familiar that could be at advantage so a 19% chance instead,
Tl;dr: rly like your sugested build, personaly I’d take a hexblade dipp instead of magic initiate

That is a really good one as well!
The pirate I created goes full into the Hexblade Warlock, taking the flavour from the more 'great old one' descriptions you can add to so many of the spells it has while still fully able to keep oneself vertical after a hit or two.
HOWEVER, the build that I have has some major drawbacks and sometimes even impossibilities going on with it in the 'middle' levels, but it can turn into a real fun and deadly crit fisher given the chance on higher levels!

And remember: it is also okay to be a bit suboptimal for the sake of flavour, unless the table is all about the numbers-game
