We look at the grail comics, “hidden gems” that might in a long box at the local comic shop and must-haves for any comic fan’s collection. We also tap into the larger knowledge base of the comic book community during frequent live streams were we interview collectors that have been in the hobby for a few months to a few decades.
There are very few places on the internet (or elsewhere) where tons of quality comic book information is gathered in one place.

I feel like 200 million isn't bad for a character as big as the joker. From what I understand, studios are usually really happy if a movie does a worldwide total of three times the budget. I imagine 600 million is well within reach.

The musical aspect has me completely turned off from this movie, that said number one was dang near a masterpiece

Like I say for every movie in the genre - I hope it is a good, enjoyable movie that does well at the box office. I think it is sad when a movie spends big, the falls hard. I think Phoenix and Lady Gaga has the talent to carry this movie to great heights . Both performers have an attitude to protest, and change the film’s narrative, if they disagree with how the script is written or the direction the story is going.

This movie is going to not be good. A comic book movie that is also a musical?!?!?
When was the last time a musical was actually viable for the age demographic that is suppose to targeted by a comic book movie.

I think the day of the habitual 1 billion dollar blockbuster is behind us. Yes I'm aware that 2023 saw at least 3 movies hit that mark. But I think we all thought that number would be a lot bigger. With the same creative team behind this movie, I have faith that the passion for the characters and story will shine through....but I don't believe it's going to cross that 1 billion dollar threshold. As a disclaimer, I thought the first Joker movie was "okay". It was obviously well-made, but I didn't care for it as a concept. I didn't really want to be asked to sympathize with the Joker of all people.
