I spent many years in LA discovering incredible live bands and singer/song writers perform regularly at all the usual venues from the Music machine, Viper room, Molly Malones, Al's bar, Coconut Teaser, The Country club, The Troubador, and on and on.... we would 'discover' many amazing artists opening for another act we'd just heard and decided to check out.. When I caught the video for Round Here it hit me like a bat upside the head.. SO good, so well done, took me RIGHT back to a different time in my mid 30's seeing live music at some place different every week and discovering new live music. It has been a long time, I am blessed to live in a time of unrelentingly awesome musical creativity and genius with so many incredible musicians putting out amazing work since I was ..8 years old? and starting to develop my own musical preferences. It is too easy to just live within that endless universe of fantastic music from 50 years of genius, and new artists can easily be missed.
I''m 60 now, still rocking and still really excited to find young new artists who can play and perform and aren't 90% processed and packaged by some shitty record company.
Bravo Noah, you guys are on my radar! next time yr in LA i will be there with friends.
