This and many Pokemon plotlines and plotpoints feel like they had a banger idea but kept some of the finer details for later, and then they realized they had to release it in like a week so those finer details ended up being just terrible and the whole thing basically falls apart halfway through.

Aside from maybe the cinematic cutscenes, the cutscene presentation in 3D Pokémon games suck. The games may be 3D, but Gamefreak presents them as if they're still 2D.
Notice that characters still walk up, stop, and rotate in place like they're sprites?
Notice that the cutscenes are awkwardly quiet (mostly due to no voice acting)?
Notice that the cutscenes love to dump exposition without showing anything?
3D cutscenes allows better presentation and storytelling, but Gamefreak has yet to step up their game.

This wasn’t a problem for me ngl. Because we make a Cherish Ball so it should be red. It’s not like we were gonna make a Master Ball since those wouldn’t be invented until the 90s when Red and Blue came out. Don’t know how the Hoen Team Leaders got one when those games allegedly take place at the same time. Honestly that there felt like an afterthought.

Ngl, I think this one was a fumble on your part. For one, it's not... a villain??? It's worldbuilding. It's crafting your very own Cherish Ball, and using the Red Chain and what's probably a similar substance to the Adamant/Lustrous/Griseous Orbs to do it. It's justification for how you're able to capture an enraged reality-warping entity. And I thought it was sick as hell.
