Hey guys, so I have been thinking of this idea for a few weeks now. I have in the past zip tied the battery pack to the metal detector. However it doesn’t balance properly and the zip ties aren’t a perfect solution to hold the 10,000 mA our battery. my idea is to have a lipstick style battery pack inside of the handle that is of course removable with a few rubber washers and a pull tab. I don’t plan on scuba diving with the metal detector so I don’t feel water would be an issue as this would be removable as well. Now looking at the shaft of the Manticore, it does have the removable plug at the top and there is a little over 3/4 of an inch to 7/8 of an inch in diameter for fitting a tube style battery pack in your metal detector. The power bank that I use works great for plugged it in while driving if I’m out all weekend Metal Detecting , and jumping to different spots, this idea came to me when thinking about a long day, hunting a huge field for relics and being able to quickly put the charging cable on the metal detector with the cord going straight to a battery pack inside the handle. This would be in my opinion, the most convenient way to have extra power to the metal detector when you need that emergency extra battery. Feel this would not throw the weight off and the balance too much. It might even help even out the swing. there are a few on Amazon but they’re not to those exact dimensions. I am going to get a few to try out and please email me if any of y’all have found one that will work or have a similar idea and we can toss around some ideas together.
