I'm making a quilt at the moment, which is full of nostalgic family fabrics. Stuff like my childhood bedding, leftovers from a skirt my mum made, etc. One of the fabrics came from a dress I wore from 2008 to 2015, which I had intended to put a new zip on but never got round to.
This dress was with me through so many occasions. Hanging out in the park with mates, my mums OU graduation, countless dates, friends' art show openings, nights out, and more. I loved it to pieces and wore it so many times.
If there's a piece that really suits you and makes you feel good, why on earth wouldn't you wear it over and over and over?

Ok Maybe I am poor or I don’t get the concept of outfit repeating, but I’ve got no more then a dozen of outfits and I buy a new item once per month MAX so how is it possible not to repeat the outfit??? And I see people around like my friends, colleagues, acquaintances, they are all having reasonable amount of outfits circulating… so I thought it was a normal thing lol

i am so so happy i was born in a post socialist country, where what you do was more important than how you look (substance over appearance). of course, a long time has passed, but my parents brought me up with little care for material things (less than my peers), even though i am very aware of how much more i am influenced by capitalism than they are. still, for gen z and alpha its on a completely different scale, i cannot imagine growing up and from a young age consuming endless ads for products that claim to make you unique but do the opposite. i grew up in the age of weird unmonetized internet instead. i learned to value what i can do, what i experience and know. of course its difficult sometimes to be out of trend and not be seen as desirable by the majority of people, but then its not my people right?

Yes! I feel like it’s more piece-repeating instead of outfit-repeating
