Heat up a paper clip, or nail, red hot & plunge it through the nail. Don’t worry the blood will cool it down before it hits the bed. A lot quicker & a lot less vibration

Been there, done that.
But when I did it, I managed to squeeze out about half of the meat under the fingernail to boot. It looks mostly normal, but you can see discoloration where the flesh under the fingernail repaired itself. That, and the curvature of the nail is kind of flattened on one side. :)
I taped it up with electrician's tape aka "Band-Aid on a roll" and went back to work.

This works for hemorrhoids as well, only it helps to have a flex shaft dremmel.

Flashback! At first glance I cringed! I drilled a hole through my thumbnail, all the way through the other side of my thumb, about 2 weeks ago. Small drill bit broke and bam, it was that quick. Thanks for the video, this I definitely good to know.
