I do think it’s cool how the intern he hated helps him, she still respects his knowledge and ability, so she helps him work through it, regardless of past personal hardship, and it helps him excel at his work even more so then normal, really sweet scene showing how even adversarial relationships can prove positive

this is the first time ive seen her be helpful and not a distraction or issue, that means progress yay! also who continues talking to and raising their voice at someone who is showing that body language and covering his ears thats a horrible plan, no matter why their doing it between autism, ptsd, anything thats going to make it worse

I also have autism, and when this happens (having too many people talk to me at the same time) I usually have a similar reaction, but it takes be a REALLY long time to recover from it, even though my autism symptoms aren't as visible as his. But because of that, when I have that kind of meltdown, people tend to get mad because I don't know how to react in that situation and things like a simple 2+2 or "where's the bathroom" can become super complicated. Don't get me wrong, Freddy Highmore did an amazing job portraying him, but in those kind of situations we can tell that the writers could have done slightly more research.
