I used to work in Subway as well and was new at the time and I asked a regular lady customer if she would like six inch or foot long,lmao her reaction was priceless because she was thinking I was asking about +18 😂😂 so I had to clarify if she would like six inch or footlong bread for her sandwich instead. She was like “the whaa?” Like she gonna report me to the boss or manager 😂

In a lot of Australian stores places have signs up requesting that you dont be on your phone or even have headphones (unless there for medical reasons) on while being served. Having said that it doesn't stop some people.

VERY similar thing happened to me when I was 15 and working at an ice cream place a few years ago. This lady (who oddly enough was also one of the office secretaries at my high school) ordered two footlong hotdogs. I double checked to make sure she wanted two footlong dogs and not regular hotdogs*, and she confirmed that she indeed wanted to *footlongs. So I took her order and rang her up for two footlong hotdogs—*as she had ordered*; she comes back about five minutes later and whines that I “charged her too much” because she actually only wanted regular hotdogs—NOT footlongs (even though she confirmed TWICE that she wanted footlongs)…I was a bit taken aback but I was luckily able to change her order and get her the regular hotdogs she supposedly wanted (even though—again—she literally confirmed twice that she wanted footlongs). I understand if she was having a bad day, but she was also never the nicest woman to interact with whenever I was at school either whenever I’d have to sign out early or whatever. Hope she grows up someday. 😂

I used to go to a subway for $25 gift cards, became such a regular , the lady working there would just make me a free 6 inch every time I got a card 😂
It was for a video game that accepted subway cards for in game payments . She asked me once 😂
Sadly that location got replaced with a broadway subs , ya

I honestly hate it when customers are on their phone when they are about to be served,it is a sign of disrespect and when serving such customers, I always make sure either they have to stand aside till their call ends or hang up the phone right there and then. Simple, saves a lot of fuss and hassle
