Dude youā€™re insane! And so tasteful. I appreciate that youā€™re not using sex appeal to gain views, and itā€™s just about you being a kick-ass drummer, which you absolutely are. Hell YES

I have watched a couple of her drum videos and was immediately impressed. She has very good playing chops, but this performance is next level. She is a technician, exact in what she plays as well as a player who plays with heart and sits in the pocket. This is the best of both worlds, something many drummers take a good part of their lives trying to master. Well done!!

Really, when I bought this album, I stuck it in a DVD player and was treated to behind the scenes making of.
The way Josh was describing the drumming to Dave was really fun to watch.....

I donā€™t even know this tune, but after listening to you play it about 10 times, I can really appreciate the complexity of the rhythm.

Iā€™m but a simple guitar playerā€¦.

A simple guitar player with 14 dope guitars that has been playing for 33 years, and lives for odd time signatures and groovy rhythms. I can even tap my foot in 17/8 time like JP showed me!!

Anyway, I love when 4/4 gets a little tricky. Iā€™m still having a hard time deciphering this though. Letā€™s just use the snare hits to explain the barsā€¦is it 2-2-1, but it starts in the middle? I canā€™t groove it as 1-2-2, but flipped around and starting the real count after half a bar works. Is that how it is?

Itā€™s those damn dotted quarter sextuplets that are throwing me into 4/4 warp brains freeze music basket case. Damn you Dave Grohl!!!

For anyone reading this who is a guitar player, loves Metallica, and is struggling to comprehend the machine gun like second riff/verse riff of the 5th track from the 1986 album, Master of Puppetsā€¦the little darling war anthem known as Disposable Heroes. If so, youā€™re ABOUT TO GET KNOWLEDGED!!šŸ˜…
And
After the opening riff with the wah on top it finishes with a ringing/sustaining E chord. Now comes the tricky bit, and Iā€™m gonna make it simple for ya. Here goes:

Shave and a hair cut bum bum digga digga.

I imagine that everyone reading this must fit those criteria like a glove, to that I say youā€™re welcome. To anyone not fitting that criteria, try this: start playing guitar, start loving Metallica, struggle with the Disposable Heroes riff discussed here, use my patented ā€œShave and a hair cutā€ trick, succeed at defeating the beast with said trick, smile and laugh out loud, and finally, get yourself a proper Mark Series amp from MESA/Boogie. A Mark IIC+, Mark IV, Mark V, Mark VII or JP-2C will be fine. Metallica used a IiC+ preamp into a Marshall JCM800 power section and an 800 series 4x12ā€¦but just get a Boogie cab with UK made Vintage 30s. That will get ya thereā€¦I promise, the rest is up to you.

Nice drumming by the way little missā€¦youā€™re a real power hitter, just like Dave!
