The transfer box to charge the Lightning at home and have it automatically switch over to powering your house when the power goes out had problems. Will they do a better job with the home charger for the Ramcharger?

Fisker did this years ago with the karma. They went broke and were recently bought out. New car is supposed to come out soon

This type of vehicle is called the Range-Extended Electric Vehicle，REEV. Although it uses gasoline, the gas engine is for generating electric power only. Besides that, there is not much difference between a regular EV. As a result, unlike the EV, we don't need to be worried about how to charge the car if it runs out of power. Just go to the gas station and fuel the gas. It is not some new technology, but it definitely is the first REEV pickup truck. Can't wait to see it.

The truck has a 3.6 liter V6 as the generator to charge the battery. Yeah, that makes a ton of sense... Sounds completely counter to the point of being an e.v.

The Chevy Volt was also one of the very first all electric car with a generator motor .... I believe they came out in early to mid 2000's and stopped production in 2019
This was a great car and my 2015 Volt reached around 175k problem free miles when I hit a deer at 85mph and totalled it ..... RIP Silver Bullet
I just purchased a Ford F150 Lightning XLT ER
Once you go electric and stop buying gas ..... its hard to go back to dealing with buying gas ..... in spite of any issues that may be had finding working chargers on the road
