So they're basically underwater coyote and badger (they do this when they hunt prairie dogs).

Things like this are so cool to me. Nature doesn’t always have to be competitive. On the other hand, any creature leaving that reef had better check their corners lol

Groupers are also incredibly friendly and social guys; I loved running across groupers on dive trips. We’d just hang out together and swim the reef 😆

When a grouper the size of a Harley is swimming towards you and making booming noises you know it means business! I got one blurry picture and left quickly.

I knew this. But I still find it very cool that they do this. And from what I've been able to find about it essentially if one of them is full they will still help the other. And if I remember a lot of the morays and groupers will work with the same ones, a grouper will work with the same moray, and vice versa.

In Portuguese Br we have a saying that fit this situation perfectly:
"Se correr o bicho pega, se ficar o bicho come!"

It is so heart-warming to see such cooperation between species.

So, do grouper's eat eel? I can't imagine a moray taking out something as big as a grouper.
