I don't want to be feared. That comes from a bad place or experience that happened to you. Where you feel like that is needed. Also, having people fear you is the quickest way for you to hurt. It's better to be loved and be respected. Those things keep you either out the mix or keeps you in places you need to be in.

I think she's coming from a place that I was at in my early 20's, being a young woman can be really scary so you kinda wish people were afraid of you so you won't have to be scared anymore, but then you grow up a little more and get past that, you now know you can defend yourself and feel safe enough to just want respect.
(That's my experience, she could be coming from a completely different place.)

You had it right at the start. Being feared only instills a desire in people to usurp you, being respected means there is a level of trust in your capabilities, being feared is someone hating you in a form or fashion which isn't helpful at best, fatal at worst depending on the situation. You're basically making your own possible assassins or betrayers, and a smart person knows you can't always be perfect or unbeatable. Why make life harder than it already is to satisfy a part of your ego?

Random strangers already do, and i hate it. Ever had someone swing on you because you were walking faster than they were because you are big? Ever have people jump to the absolute worst conclusions about you over how you look? And it is over how i look, because i dont control how my face looks to you but i generally leave people tf alone unless they wanna talk to me. Id enjoy if people were relaxed around me.
