1. DJ Paul had a cooking channel on YouTube called DjPaulBBQTV. The channel features DJ Paul cooking southern food like pan seared catfish, BBQ ribs, and grilled pork chops. He even had a website called DjPaulBBQ.com where he sold his own bbq sauce.
2. In 2006, Three 6 Mafia made history by becoming the first hip hop group to win an Academy Award for Best Original Song. The song, "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp," was written for the film "Hustle & Flow". The win was seen as a major milestone for hip hop music and brought attention to the genre's impact on popular culture.
