When we run on our heels(standing up) there is more load on the back for getting a length closer to the batsman(or for pace).
When we run on our toes and stand up 1 sec before jump there is even distribution of load on the back, arm and knees.
My coaches adviced to run on the toes, but the things I have written above is from my personal experience.

You are doing good because while releasing the ball your knees is straight which transfers the momentum completely and efficiently.In India Bumrah and Bhubaneswar are two bowlers who release the ball with straight knee.
