When we run on our heels(standing up) there is more load on the back for getting a length closer to the batsman(or for pace).
When we run on our toes and stand up 1 sec before jump there is even distribution of load on the back, arm and knees.
My coaches adviced to run on the toes, but the things I have written above is from my personal experience.
