My Man is clearly freezing his arse off, alone his throat - give the entire band credit for playing in the absolute cold FFS. This is one of the best songs ever made to achieve pop success. It still resonates with millions to this day. You can condescend all you want, but this song, as simple as it is - highlights the children and young who want to escape a life so bad they risk their lives to do so.
Yes, it's just a song and yes they make money from it - but trust me -: this song inspired millions to actually want to help children.

I was an abused child who became a runaway and now I am a social worker who works with survivors of violent crime - I feel have come full circle and that this song had much to with my feeling heard and being able to move forward in my life - I wish peace to everyone who is struggling at this time - you matter
