Sometimes you just want to blow up your own face! In Minecraft VR this is completely possible, so I decided to test Minecraft VR Quest 2 gameplay (via a link cable) whilst also building a Minecraft self portrait / Minecraft timelapse builds pixel art creation that I could fill with TNT and blow up at the end of the video! An official Minecraft Oculus Quest / Minecraft Oculus Quest 2 version isn't available (YET...It's coming soon right? It must be!) but if you have a PC capable of running Minecraft & a link cable for your Oculus Quest or Quest 2 then you can already experience some Minecraft VR Quest gameplay today! Timelapse Minecraft builds have always interested me, something about watching the creation take shape right before your eyes is really relaxing so I thought I'd try my hand it at. I'm not the best builder in Minecraft but I'm pretty proud of the results here. I really wanted to test Minecraft VR Quest 2 gameplay / Minecraft on Quest 2 to see whether playing this VR experience with a link cable is viable & enjoyable. Ultimately the results are good, I did encounter a few graphical issues & frame rate drops but these could easily be combated by lowering certain settings to achieve a more stable Minecraft VR gameplay experience on Quest 2.

Ultimately we're all waiting for a Minecraft Quest 2 release date, it feels inevitable at this point, but in the meantime it's great to know you can play some Oculus Quest 2 Minecraft VR with a link cable right now & experience very enjoyable results. There is also a wireless solution for Minecraft VR Quest 2 that I have yet to test... we'll save that for another video when I feel like blowing up someone else's face...
