Carnivore has me meat whipped. It’s all I need or want anymore and after I’ve eaten my mind is free like a bird. Til I am truly hungry again and I am excited to eat the same food again and again. Any other way of eating had me feigning for carbs sugar and bread 30 min after eating.
Being truly fed the nutrients your body needs opens a whole new world. It like getting out of a prison you never knew you were in.
Carnivore is pretty amazing. I wouldn’t take a million dollars over it.

I have been changing my diet since COVID because, since I was sick and I'm the one who cooks, I ended up eating lazy food because I didn't have the strength to do anything. So, you can definitely crave things emotionally rather than physically. I didn't get that at first, was just trying to eat better. But I just now had a "craving", which I realized wasn't really a food craving. I also discovered sugar withdrawals 😬😱 Doing better

Take my thoughts with a grain of salt, even people who study things don't truly "know" all they've spent years researching. As far as I'm aware, I think cravings ARE your body saying "what it needs", except somewhere between our body saying we need something and our brain having a capacity to know what it is, the signal is really easy to misinterpret. The word "craving" also isn't very specific as to defining the cause of said desire for any given thing.
Some food "cravings" are your body saying you haven't eaten enough and your need more caloric sustenance, and sometimes it'll be interpreted as "i REALLY want sweets" when sure that's kinda correct but it misses the mark on what would probably be better in the long term. Sometimes people crave meat or even dirt, when it just so happens they have an iron deficiency. I think sometimes I "crave" processed food because I have adhd and my dopamine levels are low and my mental health is struggling, and so getting a hit of dopamine sounds doubly like a good idea even though I'll be more hungry and feel less good on multiple levels if I eat that stuff. And sometimes eating it isn't the worst decision to make. But like most feelings, they're a messenger sent by some other thing, and if you keep getting a strange or concerning message, that might mean some other bigger thing is happening that needs more attention or thought than it's got. And sometimes, like with ptsd, your body keeps sending a message of warning when it thinsk something is happening that isn't.
