The Arab Revolt was a military campaign launched by Arab forces against the Ottoman Empire during World War I. Led by British officer T.E. Lawrence, the revolt aimed to gain independence for the Arab territories under Ottoman control.

The revolt lasted from 1916 to 1918 and resulted in significant losses for the Ottomans. However, the Sykes-Picot Agreement and other diplomatic negotiations ultimately led to the partition of the Arab territories, thwarting the aspirations of the Arab leaders who fought in the revolt.
