I disagree and think he made the best decision.
Did you realise that the contract was only signed just after the first test?
He further also knows the Red Bull long time planning.
All teams will be facing some kind of a problem with the all new regulations.
With Honda support. There will likely not be a Red Bull engine.
And Porsche is most likely to step in in 2026.
It brings rest in the team, without waisting any time on rumours or silly season talks.
His salary is not the most important.
The long time contract also gives him a lot of sponsor support.
