I don't understand how it can be 36 months when the current priority date is December 2020, and it has been for few months now which means it is retrogressing. So if you apply for PERM today which is going to be your priority date (October 2024) for you to even be able to go through the consular processing you are going to have to wait 46 months to this date if we assume that for every month that passes priority date moves for one month. Which is probably not going to happen since it is retrogressing. And if it continues to retrogress you can add more months on it, not to say before you apply for PERM, which is the date that is going to be your priority date, company has to determine prevailing wage, prove that it can't find employees and so on. So you are gonna wait at least 6months before Perm can be filled. I have had first contact with employer on July 2022, Perm was filled on May 2023 which is my priority date, Perm was approved on June 2024, just recently I140 has been filled. So thats already 27 months that I am waiting. And I can add to that the difference between December 2020 and my priority date which is May 2023. That's another 29-30 months before I can go through consular processing like I said assuming that priority date is not gonna retrogress anymore and it is gonna go up for every moth that passes. So as it looks like currently I am looking at 57 months minimum just to reach consular processing part. I have been following this channel for a while and processing times were not accurate.
