"Still has the fire symbols and says... NEVER USE WITH GASOLINE" because the contents are not flammable, but the container is. And prone to static electricity, which can can will light gasoline fumes

What state do you live in? I live in Iowa and it’s a big fine if caught filling or transporting in a blue can. Even at the race track they won’t let you bring it in if caught during tech. So beware of your state laws could be big trouble or a big fine!

Blue is known for being kerosene. Hence why it still has the "fire flames" on it. Only a gullible goof would think it's just for water. "Because it's printed on the side"🙄

On the gas can if you take the nozzle apart and remove the spring it will be much easier to open and close

Those containers are color coded for a reason. In many states it's illegal to put gas in anything other then a red gas can. Red is for gas, yellow is for kerosene, green is for diesel. It's a color indicator for fire personnel to know what's in them so the can do their job properly.

You can buy spout and vent kits online for around 5 bucks that fit the red container...

Water cans are designed for water and water based properties for human consumption. GAS cans are designed to prevent water properties and prevent electrostatic discharge. Empty water cans can conduct electrostatic

Yes, the blue can is FLAMMABLE, not the liquid inside. Also, real big it says do not use for gasoline or diesel. Last, they paint it red so people know is flammable liquid inside. People would assume there is water in the blue one and try to put out a fire

I wouldn’t suggest doing this …for obvious reasons, the least of which is the legality of transportation.

Its true they are made out of the same material, the companies are forced to label it for water for legal purposes spillproof bullshit makes me spill more

In CA the compliance is color and nozzle. It's a $1,200 dollar fine. I spill more gas than ever now.

After Katrina, thieves were stealing generators and gasoline. Old man sold me his generator and 4 five gallon diesel containers. He said thieves were far less likely to steal them if they thought it was diesel
