I heavily appreciate those who create treasure islands and make them accessible to players.
Most treasure islands will have the Sanrio items, which a lot of players arenât able to get. They also will probably have villager/NPC photos and posters, also unaccessible to the average player. Some of them even have Pocket Camp items.
Not only does modding possibly harm the game or even the Switch itâs being used on, itâs also expensive to create an island. Youâd need a moddable Switch (not made anymore and very expensive), an Animal Crossing game, (60 USD), online access (20 USD per year), and you could have to pay money for the mods.
While I understand people that dislike treasure islands, theyâre genuinely very helpful for those who canât get certain items or just donât want to take the time to get them.
TLDR; You bought the game. Do what you want with it. Modding and treasure islands are cool, and so are the people that make them. Make sure to mod safely, though!

I get why some people think itâs âcheatingâ but itâs not like itâs required. Itâs just there to help players, and itâs a useful thing if you donât want to deal with the tedious practice of trying to collect diy recipes and wait for Timmy and Tommy to sell the item you need

Honestly i think itâs totally fine to go if youâve played at least once because youâve gotten the full experience beforehand

The thing about them is that a lot of times somebody will be flying in every second or the server will get disconnected and you end up losing your items (only the ones from the TReasure isle. But yeah treasure islands are perfectly safe besides the fact that they can be annoying i have been using them since 2022 PS: I hope that wasn't too long and i am a huge fan!

I love treasure islands! Especially since I often have a pretty short attention spam when it comes to games that involve modeling. It helps being able to get things done in about several days rather than several months.

I've never even heard of treasure Islands and it's really nice the players are making islands like this to help other players get hard to get items and just more resources since there's plenty of furniture and etc in the game that is really really hard to come across.
It's actually one of my critiques with nooks cranny but it really seems like it only has the same 10 items instance It can't upgrade you're only left with five slots of rotating furniture which is normally very repetitive.

Treasure islands have super fun little communities too! It takes some work to get into a treasure island group and then onto and off of the island (and sometimes just staying on one island if internet isnât strong and the server is busy) and the etiquette is very communal but itâs so satisfying to see hot community items or search for the right furniture category island and when you finally get safely home with your loot your just stokedđ

I recommend not picking up spare mailboxes because I picked up three and when I was done with them I couldn't get rid of them.

One thing thatâs a pain if you pick up bugs and fish that are missing in your index from treasure islands it wonât register when you take it back to your island, even if you give it to the museum đ

It is also good to note that some people have reported the bell nook mile achievement becoming broken after using a 999k bells exploit on a treasure island, so be cautious if youâre an achievement hunter
