Lmao nobody watching the full video and just going straight to feeling offended and complaining.
Cis women menstruate, trans women don't, but they do have a monthly 'period' of PMS like symptoms. If people really really want us to call it something else then fine, but to me it makes sense to refer to it like that...

The number of people in these comments calling out this as a lie is sad, unsurprising and appalling.
A period.... IS an hormonal cycle. It's still essentially the same thing, biologically, scientifically, chromosonally.
Not everyone bleeds, no.. not even cis women/AFAB who still have a uterus (hi, that's me my entire life).

That's not a period. a period is when you shed the uterus' liner. this is for FEMALE reproduction, and female reproduction alone. tans women cannot get periods, period. no ifs, ands, or buts about it. it's extremely hurtful to say that your side effects from hormone therapy are the equivalent of a period.

The period is part of the female reproductive system. Not saying trans people don't go through a type if hormonal unstability, but it cannot be a period. In order for that to be true, you have to be born with female reproductive organs. That's like saying a transmale can produce sperm. They can't. They were not born with testicles.
If you want "sis" women to show you more respect, you need to understand that having a period is not a game or some kind of staple or prize. And pretending to have one only makes it look like you're mocking the female struggle.
Transwomen need to understand and except that there are certain things they simply will not experience. That's not a bad thing. Its just part of being trans.

I like to think that i have a high tolerance when it comes to people wanting to be and live how they want to, but at this point .....come on. Do you have any idea what it's like to bleed 7 days out of the month. To have to buy products that's probably bad for you and stick up a place you would rather forget about (during this time). have you ever got up and realized that you have blood on your pants because when you bleed you also sweat and think hey that trickling sensation might just be sweat and not blood? I imagine that getting a sex change is painful ( and though i sympathize, that was voluntary) , so explain to me how your body feels when going through your cycle. because mines feel like I've just been in a really bad car wreck. pms aside if you know you KNOW. THE PHYSICAL PART OF HAVING A PERIOD IS TERRIBLE.

Shit, I’m cis (ish) and occasionally don’t bleed on my period but still get cramps and all that jazz. My hormones have always been a little fucked and certain hormonal birth controls will do that to me, or I’ll bleed without any of the extras, it’s really a toss up. Lady hormones are honestly just fucked like that, whether you’re born with them or you receive them later on.
