I am thrilled to be a Global Kimchi Ambassador with the World Institute of Kimchi (WiKim), a government funded research institution that focuses on exploring the scientific excellence and cultural uniqueness of Korean kimchi!

Kimchi is a cultural food staple for many that has become more popular in recent years. Healthwise, it’s a fermented food known for gut health benefits. Also, a recent study showed how 1-3 servings (one serving: 50g ~ ½ cup) of kimchi per day can potentially help with weight management (PMID: 38290970).

There is other research being conducted at WiKim in the areas of immunity, skin health and musculoskeletal health.
