I love how Soifon, arguably the most serious, and militaristic, character in the series (unless Yoruichi is involved) has a Zanpakuto Spirit that is, basically, the definition of a teenage girl stereotype. Snarky, rebellious and obsessed with personal image.
It is SO painfully obvious what part of Soifon Suzumebachi is supposed to represent. It's like Kubo, or whoever wrote the for Zanpakuto Rebellion, was basically saying "Yeah, this is what you would've been like, if you hadn't been raised as a retainer/ninja". It's, actually, kinda depressing.

I actually love this design so much. It's her "shikai" but because the spirit is tiny it wears the weapon on her entire arm in exactly the same way that Soifon wears her bankai.
