I wonder how many millennia it will be before a human being beholds a black hole with unaided naked eyes. If the sight of our planet from space can radically alter an astronaut's viewpoint of life/reality, just imagine what directly viewing one of the greatest cosmic engines/powers in our universe would do to someone's mind. I think the effect would be utterly staggering, regardless of how advanced one's technological level is.

One of my favorite activities in space engine is to set the camera cruising through the galaxy such that the nearby stars are moving past at a comfy speed, and then make the camera slowly spin. It's such a vibe.
