Y'know, theres another halo game that for free gives you Mark V armor. Its called the Master Chief Collection. Still very much supported and fun and has halo 1-4 with the option to have Reach and ODST if you want it. Plus, no microtransactions. Just throwing that out there.

When i first got into Halo i got Halo CE Anniversary and based on the cover i thought chief had black armor. The green paint was a huge surprise so the black paint is a pleasant surprise.

In the books, all of the Spartans, male and female, are indestinguishable from each other in their Mark IV and V armor. That's why you can't change the body type. I guess the old armor is a little chonkier.
