‘Most belligerent nations’? I don’t think so. There were some 70 nations involved in the fighting in WW2. Whilst the Soviets indeed tried to create their flying tank the Krylya Tanka, a T60 with biplane wings attached as the A40-KT, they had to remove the tanks armament, ammunition, most of the fuel and even the headlights to save weight to make it work. Just. Hardly battle worthy ~ which is why they never used it in action. The Germans could carry armour such as the Pz38t or the Flak 88 and its half-track prime mover in the Me323 Gigant. The British on a few occasions used the Hamilcar glider to carry either the Tetrach or M22 Locust light tanks. The Japanese tried with the Special tank No.3 Ku-Ro, another light tank with wings attached combo but still hadn’t sorted all of the problems out by 1945, so that never happened. And that’s about it.
So, something like 4 out of 70 belligerent nations tried airborne armour. That’s NOT ‘most belligerent nations.’

Dropping a tank without a crew is just a gift to your adversaries.
